| A very rare and old Irish American glass whisky beaker, circa 1870-1900; DUNCAN ALDERDICE, THE NATIVE WHISKY: A very lovely and rare etched map on a whiskey beaker of historical virtue showing a United Ireland. The etching includes all of Ireland and has several place names, such as Newry, Dublin, Belfast. Across the map is the distiller's name, "Duncan Alderdice & Co. Ltd." and the banner "The Native Whisky". Acording to historian Drew Liberty, after the American Civil War Irish veterans developed the Finian movement for Irish independance, and such products were typical of the movement. The beaker glass is about four inches tall.
