The large circular Nigerian Ebony shape is overlaid with a guitar soundboard pattern of Moorish motif. Some pierce work and filing has begun, but it is in an early state of execution. When finished the circle will be cut back, a rabbit let in, and then inlayed to a guitar. Among the smaller pieces shown are ivory buttons, bone escutcheons, and sections of horn and pearl.
