Ninety-one inches long by forty-six inches wide, the top boards are from the legendary ridge-back giant Mahogany tree, divinum arboreus, discovered by Bob Novak in 1982 in the Chicibul Jungle in Hondoras. Two book-matched French-Polished boards form the top, bordered with a Dupont edge. The base is of native oak dyed verdigris, with the open grain filled with Venetian red wax, faintly echoing the oxides if the top boards. The leg tapers are Hepplewhite inspired, ending in Nigerian Ebony sabbots. The stretcher is anchored by bent curves mortised and tenoned into the legs. Signed by Ebéniste Willy Maliszewski in July 2012, it is the second piece also signed by his son James.
